DAY ONE Topics Include: 12 LEAD EKG INTERPRETATION: Learn how to read a normal EKG and how to identify patterns of ischemia, injury and infarction. DIFFERENTIATING ECTOPY FROM ABERRANCY: This teaches how to recognize QRS changes in V1 with RBBB and LBBB, and how to recognize SVT with a block from Ventricular Tachycardia.
DAY TWO Topics Include: IV THERAPY: This presents an overview of the different parenteral solutions and their indications, as well as understanding the complications of specific solutions and the particular solutions to give to specific patient conditions. ABG INTERPRETATION: This systematic approach to ABG analysis also reviews common acid base imbalances, symptomatology and treatment modalities. NEUROLOGICAL ASSESSMENT: Learn how to perform a quick neurological assessment and understand what the clinical findings indicate about your patient’s prognosis. You will also learn interventions to decrease increasing intracranial pressure, as well as what not to do. BREATHSOUNDS, HEARTSOUNDS AND HEARTMURMURS: This teaches how to differentiate normal and abnormal breath and heart sounds and gain skills to monitor breath and heart sounds as indicators of patient progress.
